In 1996, British spectacle designer Tom Davies began working for a startup eyewear factory in Hong Kong, producing products for international brands, such as Tissot from the Swatch Group, Seiko and Fossil. From the very beginning of his career in eyewear, Tom identified a need to offer customers properly fitted frames that were exceptionally comfortable, elegant and made with meticulous craftsmanship.
In 2001, TD Tom Davies was created, and soon established as one of Britain's leading Bespoke eyewear brands. Tom’s prestigious handmade eyewear brand offers a full Bespoke service using the highest quality materials, principally natural horn, pure titanium and cotton acetate.
In 2002 Tom began offering a Bespoke service to private clients. By 2008, Tom opened his own workshop and started offering a full Custom service through his global network of exclusive opticians, who also sell TD Tom Davies Ready-to-Wear frames, and provide Custom-Made to Order frames for their customers. Today, TD Tom Davies is known for the skill of its designs and refined handmade artistry. Due to Tom’s excellence in his creations and vision, the company continues to this day, to champion extraordinary craftsmanship.
Our new ready-to-wear collection is handcrafted by our master craftsmen in our London factory. Featuring an array of subtle design details, the highest quality materials and intelligent design (resulting in a superior fit) these frames are unrivalled.

Bespoke - The Process
TD Tom Davies is a prestigious handcrafted eyewear brand that offers unrivalled attention to design detail. A bespoke service is offered at all of our London stores and available on every frame in all of our collections, adapting each to suit our customers’ requirements and individual style.
Our bespoke consultation process begins with a discussion of personal tastes and preferences, enabling us to select the perfect frames. We then take a series of precise measurements and photographs, which are submitted to the TD design studio. The Bespoke eyewear blueprint is then submitted to our workshop.
We produce all our frames by hand, meticulously and to the highest standards. Our master craftspeople spend between 16 and 22 hours creating, assembling, honing and polishing each Bespoke frame to ensure a flawless finish. Utterly unique, each pair of Tom Davies Bespoke glasses bears the customer’s name, engraved discreetly on the inside of the temple arm.
